Lasik/PRK

Laser in-Situ Keratomileusis (LASIK) is a highly accurate laser procedure that creates a flap on the front surface of the eye, then treatment is performed to reshape the cornea. Lasik was developed to decrease or eliminate the need for distance glasses or contact lenses. 

Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK) is a highly accurate laser procedure performed on the front surface of the eye that re-shapes your cornea to decrease or eliminate the need for distance glasses or contact lenses. 

You are a possible candidate for laser vision correction if:

• You are in good general health with healthy eyes
• You wear glasses or contact lenses to correct distance vision including nearsightedness, farsightedness or astigmatism within parameters of correction
• 18 years of age or older
• Upon testing, your corneal thickness and corneal health meet criteria
