An effective procedure used to administer medications to treat a variety of retinal anomalies, Dr. Townshend, provides retinal consults and will refer patients for injection treatments
There is little to no restriction following your injection procedure. You may experience a mild irritation or redness in your treated eye. You will be instructed to contact your doctor if you experience pain, light sensitivity, decreased vision or increased floaters following your treatment.
The need for repeat injections is determined during clinical exams with the retinal specialist and are very common in chronic conditions like Macular Degeneration, and Diabetes.
