Premium Intraocular Lens Implants

Premium Intraocular Lens Implants

Your vision connects  you to the world. Over time, however it becomes more difficult to see clearly because  cataracts, a yellowing of your natural lens, develops.

Major scientific developments in sight restoration have made it possible to have a choice in the type of lens implanted following cataract removal. Unlike intraocular lenses that allow for clear vision at one fixed distance, premium intraocular lens implants work more like the eye's natural lens. That allows the patients to see images that are near, intermediate and distance without constant dependence on eyeglasses. Other premium implants correct for astigmatism, a refractive error causing visual distortion. This is updated intraocular lens science that allows patients with astigmatism to be less dependent on glasses following surgery.

At Associated Eye Surgeons, after careful examination and consultation with our patients, your doctor will review options on the type of implants available post cataract extraction. As with all premium implants, optimal results may not be immediately apparent. Full visual outcomes improve and could take as long as one to three months.
